"It was such a stupid moment!" Damon AlbarnDamon Albarn also claims that the London gigs, which take place on 2 and 3 July next year, will see the group reinventing one of their most famous songs. "I am determined to do a version of Country House that works," he said. "Graham playing [a] really nice picky, folky thing and my friend David Coulter playing the whole tune on saw, and letting the audience [sing]. "If there was any song that I really wanted to exercise and be reborn, it would be that one, because, you know, it was such a stupid moment." The band are set to perform a set of smaller warm-up gigs before the shows, and hope to play the first in Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon's home town of Colchester in Essex. "It's gonna be really beautiful, hopefully, fingers crossed," the frontman laughed. "It's gonna be either really beautiful or the most horrific mistake ever!"

Damon Albarn reveals how they reunited
23 December 2008 - As the countdown for 2009 commences Blur have been revealing their plans for their New Year reunion. The four-piece announced earlier this month that they would reform for two shows in London's Hyde Park next July, with tickets promptly selling out. Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Front Row, Damon Albarn revealed that he reunited with guitarist Graham Coxon over an Eccles cake. Albarn said: "We just went for a walk and bought a bun, I think it was an Eccles cake, and sat in a doorway. "It really felt like it was back to how it was when we were younger," the singer added.
